Put your best guess to the overall winners time in the comments and the closet to the time will win a Mogollon Monster 100 shirt.
For those who are running their first 100 mile race this weekend or for everyone who has run a previous 100 miler Javelina Jundred is one of the greatest experiences an ultra runner can have in 30 hours or less. You can expect nothing less than perfection in the way Aravaipa Running puts on their races and since this is the biggest race they plan each year you can count on being blown away by their attention to detail. When you arrive at the park to set up your stuff you will quickly realize just how great of an experience it is going to be Saturday and Sunday when you see the amount of time and effort that has gone into making this one of the biggest ultras in the country. Your family and friends have probably been telling you that you’re crazy for some time now and that “they don’t even like to drive 100 miles, let alone run 100 miles” well over 50 times by now and this weekend is your chance to prove to yourself and others that your not crazy but one of the special few that will join the 100 mile club and with that club comes one awesome buckle. The big race is now just 3 days away and we want to hear who you think is going to win the race Saturday for the Men and Women. With an elite field that keeps growing by the day this race is getting more and more interesting. Keep in mind that it will feel much warmer than that during the day and the deserts tend to get a little cold at night and right when the sun comes up. As of right now you can expect a high of 85 degrees and a low of 55. This is absolutely perfect running weather and I’m going to call it now, not a chance of rain. If you have not checked out the race manual here is a copy for you to look at http://www.javelinajundred.com/files/JJ100Guide2012.pdf. If you have family and friends that are not able to attend JJ100 make sure they check out the live Ultracast of the event provided by Aravaipa Running at http://www.aravaiparunning.com/avr/ultracast/.
