Keep it up! You’re doing awesome!!
Jay, really enjoyed your website and have always enjoyed your blogs, although some are longer than my training runs.
I did a hard run last night but after reviewing your website I feel like heading back out on the trail for another run.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Bill, I know I can be a little long winded in my blogs but I have to cover enough words to someday finish my book.
I’m friends with Jill and also paced a friend who did the Leadville 100 only 37 mi from my hometown. Invigorating for me! Please keep me in the loop. Congrats on your last 100 too. Unbelieveabe to me that you did 9 min mile averages.
I had a couple friends do Leadville this year, and it looks amazing. Please put your email in the subscribe section so you can get my updates. Thanks for the post.
Awesome site Jay. Seriously, really enjoyed reading your story. Can’t wait to see where the trail takes you, hope to be on your tail along the way.
I would love for the trail to take me to Hardrock but that’s two years away. I need a good tough 100 first like Wasatch.
posted the address and great way for us to keep in contact. Gram
You’re doing awesome!!
Very cool site Jay. Let me know when your down in Tucson and we’ll try and hook up for a run.
I see that you are thinking about “HARDROCK”! Nick Coury tried it this year. I’m sure he could give you some pointers. I also see Karl Meltzer’s name in a tag. In 2010, I ran the Jemez Mountain 50k at Los Alamos, NM. There I met a lady from Utah whose last name is Meltzer and who is about Karl’s age. I bet they are related. Did you meet Karl at “SPEED GOAT”? Top notch web site. Lots of good stuff.
I won’t be applying for Hardrock next year but maybe the year after. I need to complete a mountainous 100 before I can even get into the lottery.
I can’t think of anything to say except how inspiring in so many ways. You websit is awesome and your writing is captivating. “It takes a village” and you’ve got an amazing team on your side.

Your book was pretty amazing story!!!!
Thank you Val, appreciate you reading the book and sharing.
I loved your book, what an amazing and inspiring story. Encourages me to continue to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s every year wherever we may live, and to finally do the Seattle to Portland bike ride, in remembrance of my dad. =o]
Thank you for sharing your story and taking the step out to write one of my now favorite ultra running books.
Glad you enjoyed it Sarah. Keep pushing forward.
